Breitling signs a new round-the-world balloon tour

Breitling firma un nuovo giro del mondo in pallone

Ten years have passed since the first non-stop round-the-world balloon trip, carried out in 1999 by the Breitling Orbiter 3, for which the Breitling brand teamed up with the Swiss Bertrand Piccard and the English Brian Jones. This gave rise to the Winds of Hope Foundation, with the aim of supporting humanitarian projects. The Foundation's commitment has focused on the fight against noma, a deforming and fatal disease that primarily affects children in poor countries, but which can be combated effectively if it is diagnosed in time. Over the past ten years, Winds of Hope has helped, among other things, to fund numerous national programmes to combat noma in Africa. To celebrate this tenth anniversary, Breitling is organising a new circumnavigation of the planet with a replica of the famous Breitling Orbiter 3, which will be piloted by Brian Jones. This time, the great adventure will be punctuated by numerous stops on all continents in order to raise funds for the Winds of Hope Foundation
