At Dubai Watch Week 2025, Bulgari presented a new Octo Finissimo, made in collaboration with Dubai-based artist Mattar Bin Lahej, in only 70 numbered pieces. Bulgari's Octo Finissimo has been a modern icon of haute horlogerie since its launch in 2014. The collection has set no fewer than ten world records for subtlety, cementing Bulgari's reputation also in the creation of ultra-thin watches. From the revolutionary Tourbillon to the Minute Repeater, each Octo Finissimo creation blends precision mechanics and minimalist aesthetics.

The crowning glory of this saga of innovation is the Octo Finissimo Ultra of 2022, with a total thickness of only 1.80 mm: the thinnest mechanical watch in the world. This watch also won the prestigious Aiguille d'Or at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève in 2023, an award celebrating excellence in watchmaking. Bulgari Octo Finissimo Mattar Bin LahejThe new Octo Finissimo limited edition Mattar Bin Lahej is a celebration of the meeting of cultures. Dubai-based artist Mattar Bin Lahej, renowned for his calligraphic art, has transformed the iconic timepiece into a canvas of artistic expression. Arabic calligraphy, laser-engraved on titanium, runs across the case, bracelet and dial, creating a visual dialogue between mechanical rigour and artistic fluidity.

The engraving was inspired by a reflection of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai: "The future will belong to those who can imagine it, design it and build it. The future does not wait, but can be designed and built today'.  These words perfectly embody the philosophy of this collaboration, where tradition and innovation come together to create a watch that not only measures time, but interprets it through art.
