Bulova celebrates its history and enduring partnership with the US military by reissuing a number of timepieces of significant value for the connection between the U.S. armed forces and the brand, a partnership strengthened by the figure of Omar Bradley, the last general of the five-star United States Army, who became chairman of Bulova's board of directors in 1958. Among the focus models in this collection is the Hack Watch, a re-edition of the watch intended for the US military during the Second World War: it borrows its name from the English word "hack", which in watchmaking means the position at which the seconds hand stops when the crown is pulled out of its housing. This function allowed soldiers to synchronise their watches down to the last second. The movement used is mechanical with automatic winding and a 42-hour power reserve. It is housed in a steel case with IP Grey treatment, which frames a black dial with 24-hour indications: luminescent ivory Arabic numerals for the first 12 hours and red for the second 12 hours. Water-resistant to a pressure of 3 atmospheres, it comes with a Nato strap in olive green grained leather with a pin buckle. It is on sale for 299 euros.
