Good news

This was supposed to be an upbeat and enthusiastic editorial. But recent events have dampened my mood, replacing joy with worry. I will not change the subject and talk about exactly what I promised myself I would talk about, but please excuse the less cheerful tone than expected.

My purely horological news is at least the good kind. Next 3 March, in fact, we start again with the L'Orologio Club factory visits. It will be the turn of one of the first watch manufacturers that we got to know together with enthusiasts after the creation of our club: Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The two-day programme will include a visit to the workshops where the Reverso, Master Control and the House's many complications are created, a workshop for artistic craftsmen, the Atmos workshop and... a master class that will engage our members in trying their hand at watchmaking techniques.

This is just the first of the activities we intend to propose at L'Orologio Club during this year, finally free of the restrictions due to the pandemic. Each month, in fact, we will organise a visit to a different manufacture, in order to fully understand the secrets of 'one, none and a hundred thousand' watches, which have a different fascination for each of us.

In the meantime, we are also working on a programme of talks that will feature me, together with several guests, during the VO'Clock in Vicenza. We will soon give notice of this on our website and, as a preview, to L'Orologio Club members.
I would like to remind you that in order to have access to our 'elected' club, all you have to do is register at this address:

I'll be waiting for you.
