Cartier - Ronde Louis Cartier Filigree Watches

With the Ronde Louis Cartier Filigrana, Cartier returns to one of its favourite themes: the ancient crafts. The dial of the new watch depicts a pair of panthers whose bodies are brought to life by the art of filigree, a goldsmith's technique that uses threads of gold or silver bound together by fusion to create an openworked grid with the desired motif. The materials used in this case are very fine threads of gold and platinum adorned with diamonds with which the spotted black lacquer coat is woven; emerald is the stone used to make the eyes of the two panthers. In the background, a starry sky bordered by a diamond-set bezel. Also precious is the case, in 18-carat yellow gold, inside which is housed a hand-wound mechanical movement, calibre 430 MC. The watch is available in a limited and numbered edition of 20.
