Casio G-Shock: a truly social watch

01kkThe new exclusive G-Shock event will be held at the single-brand store in Corso Como, Milan. After the partnership with Marcelo Burlon, G-Shock is pleased to announce a highly innovative project that combines the legendary G-Shock collaboration models, partnerships between the brand and realities akin to its values, with the desire to involve its public in the first person. Since the 1980s, in fact, G-Shock has been carrying out collaborations with brands and designers, creating synergies and models that have remained imprinted in the collective memory, thanks to their high media resonance. Collectors from all over the world eagerly await this new release, unique in its kind as they will become the admirers, the very protagonists of the collaboration model. The mode will be as follows: through social media, users will become an active part of the creative process by providing their own comments. Exceptional creative directors will be Surfa & Exo - web stars, musicians and G-Shock collectors who will have the special task of synthesising the comments into the unique design of the world's first G-Shock Social. Surfa and Exo, have been producing music since the age of 14 and are known in the Hip-Hop scene for having released several records, productions, videos and collaborations with some famous Italian rappers including Ensi, Emis Killa, Fedez, Jake La Furia, Guè Pequeno and many others. In addition to the music scene, the twins from Latina have managed to contaminate the social scene with their activities, becoming 'high creative content' web stars through SurfaBlog, their personal blog that counts over 13,000 posts and 4,600,000 hits, and through SurfaCuriosity, the video series that has exceeded 50 episodes and 1 million views. The spark between them and G- Shock can be said to have sparked immediately, Surfa and Exo having been two collectors of the brand for several years. During the event on 25 May, Surfa and Exo will be art directors of the first G-Shock created through social media: through a live social broadcast from the Corso Como shop, the two twins will interact with all the fans connected on the web, who will give them hints and tips from creative moodboards, which will be commented on the social networks of the brand and the two artists. The role of the network users' engagement is fundamental, the aim is to involve the community, which, by interacting with the two protagonists will help them to realise the first G- Shock Social, whose final design will be presented around mid-June, after Surfa & Exo's artistic finishing touches.
