In 2020, the Creative Studio of Chanel Watchmaking thus presents the Mademoiselle Privé Bouton collection, which pays tribute to a fundamental element of Gabrielle Chanel's stylistic universe: the button. Inspired by military clothing and sailors' uniforms, Gabrielle Chanel pays particular attention to buttons, which represent an immense variety of decorations. Much more than a simple clasp, the button fixes her suits with preciousness and becomes a hallmark of Chanel's allure. Highlighted by a leather trim with golden highlights, the black tweed bracelet of the Mademoiselle Privé Bouton watch folds down and fastens on the wrist with a button under which a small diamond-embellished dial sits. The button itself is then embellished with a pearl, a sculpted gold lion, a diamond camellia, a Byzantine motif or even Gabrielle Chanel's profile in agate. All these elements illustrate the richness of the Maison's symbols and encapsulate its exceptional savoir-faire. The collection is composed of seven watches, two of which are exclusive Haute Joaillerie creations.
