Chanel for Only Watch 2019

This 2019, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of its launch, Chanel's J12 has undergone a careful restyling, which has not, however, distorted its identity. On the occasion of the biennial charity auction Only Watch, to be held in Geneva in November, Chanel has offered two 'inseparable' J12s, one in black and one in white. The two watches will be sold together, and are powered by the new Calibre 12.1 (mechanical self-winding, 70-hour power reserve, COSC chronometer), presented at Baselworld 2019, developed by the Kenissi manufacture, of which Chanel owns 20% of the shares. The two J12s proposed by Chanel differ from the series production in certain details, such as the blackening of the movement (visible thanks to the sapphire crystal porthole positioned on the case back), the presence of high-strength matt ceramic (in black or white) for the case and bracelet, and the tone-on-tone dial with the 12 o'clock index highlighted. The case has a diameter of 38 mm and water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 20 atmospheres (200 metres).
