Cuervo y Sobrinos' Churchill collection is enriched with a new variant with GMT function, available in two dial colours, each limited to 200 pieces.

Negg born in the Cuban House collection dedicated to the famous British statesman, who visited Cuba on more than one occasion and showed a predilection for the Caribbean island: we are of course talking about Winston Churchill. In addition, compared to previous versions of the popular model, we find an enlarged date window at 3 o'clock, positioned under a magnifying glass integrated in the anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

But above all we note the presence, in addition to the usual hour, minute and central seconds hands, of a shorter hand with red triangular tip, which indicates the time at home by scrolling on a 24-hour disk.

The transparent back offers a view of the automatic movement, the CyS 8122 calibre (Soprod C125 base, 28,800 vib/h, 42-hour power reserve), decorated with côtes de Genève and equipped with oscillating weight engraved with the signature of Sir Winston Churchill. Note also the distinctive lever-shaped winding crown.

Churchill 1895 GMT: strap or bracelet?

The new Churchill 1895 GMT from Cuervo y Sobrinos is available with a Lousiana crocodile strap or a steel bracelet.

With 43 mm steel and titanium case, the watch is equipped with a Louisiana alligator strap (blue or brown, depending on the colour of the dial) or a steel bracelet with double folding clasp equipped with push buttons.

The new Churchill 1895 GMT by Cuervo y Sobrinos comes in two dial colours, blue or silver. The dial itself is guilloché engraved and houses facetted sword hands and facetted and applied arrow and Arabic numeral hour markers.

Each dial version is limited to 200 pieces, individually numbered. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 10 atmospheres of pressure. Finally, a curiosity: the number 1895 appearing in the model name refers to the year when the young Churchill (then 20 years old) was allowed to participate as a correspondent in the Cuban War of Independence, sending his reports on the conflict to the Daily Graphic.
