With the Jetliner II watch, designed in collaboration with Setrak Tokatzian of the Tokatzian jewellers in Venice, Custos pays its personal tribute to the famous Piazzetta dei Leoncini. The red colour of the marble of these splendid sculptures, a symbol of the lagoon city, is echoed not only in the image of the lion depicted on the caseback, along with the phrase "Homage to the Piazzetta dei Leoncini", but also on the hour and minute markers and on the stitching of the alligator strap. The sapphire crystal dial, surrounded by a steel case, reveals the Custos CVS350 automatic calibre, with its 60 laser-cut and engraved components. The watch, made in a single piece, will be auctioned tomorrow, 15 December, on the occasion of the 'Sparkling December Party', an annual event held at the Hotel Metropole in Venice, the proceeds from which will be entirely donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
