Extravagant and eccentric is the pair of Polycarbon watches by D1 Milano, the result of an unprecedented collaboration between the Milanese brand and Seletti, a Mantua-based company specialising in the production of design objects and furnishing accessories in ceramic, wood, aluminium and metal.
Inspired by day and night, both timepieces reproduce one of Seletti's best-loved and best-known patterns, the sky with clouds, reproduced thanks to the water transfer technique that uses water-soluble films to transfer the image onto the polycarbonate case and bracelet.
The watches, with quartz movement, are presented in a single case, with the addition of two small Seletti ceramic sculptures depicting a missile and a paper aeroplane matching those on the seconds hand. In a limited edition of 300 pieces, they are available at D1 Milano stores, the brand's retailers and on www.d1milano.com. Seletti x D1 Milano is on sale for 295 euros.
