D1 Milan for Diabolik

D1 Milano presents a limited edition of only 250 pieces dedicated to Diabolik, the iconic character recognised as the precursor of Italian noir comics. Born in 1962, thanks to the creative genius of Angela and Luciana Giussani, Diabolik still remains a hero of our times, a thief who despite his illegal actions acts with noble and profound principles, putting honour, protection of the weakest, friendship and respect first. D1 Milano has teamed up with Astorina Srl, the publishing house founded by the two Giussani sisters, to come up with an original restyling of the iconic Ultra Thin model inspired in every way by the famous comic book character. The watch in fact features a total black look, based on the fact that the main character in the saga, Diabolik, almost always "worked" wearing black tights that covered his entire body, leaving only his ice-grey eyes uncovered. The satin-black case measures 40 mm in diameter by 6 mm in thickness, while the case back bears Diabolik's gaze and the serial number engraved by laser. Completing the design are the nylon strap, as well as the hands and hour markers, which feature red details, another key colour of the comic strip. D1 Milano 'completes the work' with ad hoc packaging. The Diabolik special edition box is inspired by the colours, materials and finish of the Jaguar E-Type Coupé, the '61 model driven by Diabolik in his most daring adventures and escapades. The matt black box with soft touch finish features a bright red Nappa leatherette interior, while the chrome band at the closure is inspired by the car's bodywork details. The packaging is completed by a transparent Plexiglas cover with graphics inspired by the famous comic strip and a postcard designed in collaboration with Team Astorina. The D1 Milano x Diabolik capsule collection will be available from 31 October on https://eu.d1milano.com/ and in selected retailers at a price of 250 euros.
