Eberhard & Co. accompanies and supports motoring enthusiasts everywhere in the world. For more than twenty years, in fact, the Swiss Maison has been one of the main sponsors of some of the most fascinating motoring events, particularly those dedicated to the world of vintage cars, rallies, regularity races and concours d'elegance. It is a consolidated link, the one that unites Eberhard & Co. with the fascinating world of speed and challenges with a retro flavour and that dates back to 1991, when the brand dedicated to one of the greatest drivers of all time, Tazio Nuvolari, a special collection of chronographs and not, marked by the automotive style of yesterday and today, coveted and precious objects of desire and became the sponsor of the most important event named after him. Since then, the brand has been present at many of the most significant events on the national and international historic car racing scene, fully reflecting its style, sophistication and attention to detail. Opening the rich calendar of national and international events for historic cars that will see the Maison present, as always with a role of primary importance, with many initiatives and novelties, is the Winter Marathon, winter regularity event par excellence, now in its 30th edition. This year's edition promises to be one to remember with a brand new race format and the introduction - for the first time - of two separate stages. Among the many novelties, there is also a very important confirmation: Madonna di Campiglio will once again be - as has already happened in the 29 previous editions - the focal point of the event as well as the scene of the highlights of the Trentino event. After the sporting and technical scrutineering on Thursday 18 January, the race will start in the evening with the cars engaged in a route of over 40 km through Val Rendena, with two series of time trials before returning to Campiglio. Then, on Friday 19 January, the start of the second demanding stage of 370 km through the most famous roads and passes of Trentino-Alto Adige, such as the Campo Carlo Magno and Palade Passes, Gardena, Campolongo and Pordoi, Costalunga and Mendola, is scheduled, with the return to Piazza Righi in Campiglio at 23.00. The show will resume on Saturday 20 January from 1.15 p.m. on the frozen lake with the 2 classic trophies reserved respectively for all pre-war cars and the first 32 classified crews of the Winter Marathon. The prize-giving ceremony will take place in the evening. All cars built up to 1968 can participate in the event, with the addition of a selection of models of particular historical and collectors' interest that were protagonists in the rallies of the 1970s - produced before 1976. The famous Swiss watchmaking Maison, which has created and produced masterpieces of technology and mechanics for 130 years such as the famous Chrono4, the unforgettable Tazio Nuvolari, the exclusive 8 Jours, the multi-award-winning Scafograf 300 and the recent successes Chrono4 130 and Scafograf GMT, to name but a few of the best-known models in the Eberhard collections, will mark the times of the race, reserving pleasant surprises for the competitors, involving the public and participants, and will be the protagonist of the eagerly awaited Trophy on the frozen lake of Madonna di Campiglio. The direct elimination challenge will be dedicated to the first 32 crews, who will have been able to best test themselves among the icy passes, curves and climbs. Thanks to Eberhard, moreover, for the second year, the great and much-loved world champion Miki Biasion, Brand Ambassador of the Maison, will be present in Campiglio to attend the Eberhard Trophy of the frozen lake and the award ceremony. This is therefore an appointment not to be missed for all motoring enthusiasts.
