Eberhard & Co. announces the winners
of the 2020 Winter Marathon

Andrea Luigi Belometti and Massimo Bettinsoli on a Fiat 508 C from 1937 won the 32nd Winter Marathon, a regularity race reserved for historic cars built up to 1968 and cars of particular historical and collectors' interest produced up to 1976, divided into two stages, covering a distance of over 450 km along the most beautiful roads in Trentino-Alto Adige. The 94 departing crews (73 reached the finish line) had the opportunity to admire the stupendous views of the Dolomites thanks to veiled skies that allowed them to appreciate the snow-covered glimpses. The three days were characterised by a moderate cold, with peaks of -5 degrees at the Pordoi Pass, by partly overcast skies, and the winter scenery provided a special and fascinating atmosphere. In second place was the crew of Edoardo Bellini and Roberto Ottorino Tiberti in a 1937 Fiat 508 C, while Guido Barcella and Ombretta Ghidotti in a 1963 Porsche 356 C Coupé took the third step on the podium. The spectacular Eberhard Trophy of the Frozen Lake at Madonna di Campiglio, an exciting knockout challenge reserved for the first 32 classified crews, saw the victory of the very young driver Edoardo Bellini with navigator Roberto Tiberti on board a 1937 Fiat 508 C, who got the better of the couple Fabio and Marco Salvinelli in a 1954 Fiat 1100/103. Third place went to Attilio Bonetti and Mauro Lanzini in a 1971 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider V. Present to reward the winners, along with the organisers, was Eberhard & Co. Brand Ambassador Miki Biasion, two-time world rally champion. In addition, the company recently presented a new watch, the Champion V, a self-winding mechanical chronograph where style and technique come together in a highly versatile balance. The Champion collection was launched by Eberhard & Co. at the beginning of the 1990s, and today the Maison reinterprets it, retaining its original charisma but revisiting it in a contemporary key. Dedicated to a dynamic and sporty man, the Champion V is offered in a variety of dial and bezel versions that make it a model with a strong personality. Water-resistant to 50 metres, it is fitted with a 42.80 mm diameter steel case with a convex sapphire crystal, a case back secured by 6 screws enriched with polished and satin-finished finishes, and a steel bezel with a circular aluminium insert with "eloxage" treatment. The watch comes with a leather strap with personalised buckle or a steel "Chablis" bracelet.
