Eberhard & Co took part in the third edition of the charity auction "Spinti da un vento solidale" ("Driven by a solidarity wind"), held at the end of December in favour of the Mascalzone Latino Sailing School, born from an idea of Vincenzo Onorato with the aim of offering children and young people aged between 8 and 16, belonging to the weakest and most at-risk social strata, a different alternative: the school, in fact, introduces the sport of sailing and initiates disadvantaged youngsters in Naples into all nautical and sea-related professions. For the occasion, the Maison orologiera donated a customised timepiece for the auction. Thanks to the cooperation of the event's partner companies and friends, €40,000 was raised during the evening, which will help support the school's activities for the year 2013. The company's CEOs, Barbara Monti and Mario Peserico, who were present at the event, were awarded the hand-signed mainsail piece that led Vincenzo Onorato and his 'rascals' to their third Farr 40 class world title in 2008.
