To celebrate its 150th anniversary, the watch manufacturer TAG Heuer has organised an event at Magna Pars in Via Tortona 15 in Milan, scheduled for 7 April. During the evening, the world's first electric GT car developed by American electric car manufacturer Tesla Motors in partnership with TAG will be unveiled. The car, a zero-emission green "jewel", will feature two of the brand's timepieces, the Pendulum Concept and the Heuer Stopwatch, on its dashboard. The Milan stop is part of "Odyssey of Pioneers", a 150th anniversary celebration tour that will see TAG Heuer and Tesla Motors travelling around the world from March to October 2010, passing through fifteen major cities. Guest of honour at the event will be world speed skiing champion Ivan Origone, who will wear the new TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 1887, a model celebrating the company's 150th anniversary. An exhibition of sixteen iconic timepieces from the past, normally housed in the TAG Heuer 360 Museum at the company's La Chaux-de-Fonds headquarters, will also be set up for the occasion. The exhibition will be open to the public the day after the event, 8 April from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. For information: LVMH Watch & Jewelry Italy SpA, tel. 02/202371.
