It has to be said that George Clooney, even in a white watchmaker's smock, still has his charms! For photographer Greg Williams, in fact, the well-known American actor posed in a smock, magnifying monocle, while being introduced to the secrets of watchmaking by a group of watch technicians from Omega.
Greg Williams, known for his behind-the-scenes photos of various celebrities, captured the moment on film. Omega then decided to combine this curious image with the playful caption 'Watchmakers wanted' with the real intent of inviting qualified candidates to consider the exciting job opportunities at the watchmaker. The image, the use of which for advertising purposes was approved by both Clooney and Williams, became part of an Omega advertising campaign internationally (with the exception of Canada and the United States). The advertisement first appeared on 3 April at BaselWorld.
