Girard-Perregaux's 50th anniversary celebrations continue. In fact, the House presented an exclusive limited edition of only 50 pieces, with the characteristic Three Golden Bridges.
Two signed icons Girard-Perregauxthe Three Golden Bridges and the Laureato, come together to create a limited edition of only 50 pieces which marks the beginning of the second chapter of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Laureate.
The new watch, with a 41 mm case (10.85 mm thick, rising to 11.25 for the version with diamonds on the bezel) in steel like the bracelet and white gold bezel, breaks with tradition renouncing the classical dial to fully reveal its mechanical architecture.
We are talking about the new IWC-manufactured GP9620 automatic calibre (21,600 vibrations per hour, power reserve of at least 55 hours), distinguished by a small arrow-shaped plate with the initials of the master watchmaker who assembled and finished the timepiece from start to finish. The architecture of this new calibre obviously revolves around the three skeleton bridges in white gold, which are both the aesthetic signature and functional backbone of the watch, guaranteeing torsional rigidity and symmetry.

Girard-Perregaux Laureato Tre Ponti d'Oro: limited edition of 50 pieces
This exclusive Laureato celebrating 50 years of the collection uses a steel case and bracelet, combined with the famous octagonal bezel in white gold.
The first Girard-Perregaux movement with Three Bridges was presented in 1867. Transcending mere functionality to reveal the beauty of the movement, it has become one of the oldest and most enduring distinctive designs in watchmaking history.
Then, in 1975, the Maison launched the Laureato, also featuring the iconic octagonal bezel with circular base, model celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow thus come together to give life to a new icon signed Girard-Perregaux, namely the Laureato Tre Ponti d'Oro, a watch that unites two legends and in which craftsmanship and innovation come together. Two timeless symbols are thus encapsulated in a single timepiece.
With an anti-reflective sapphire crystal protecting the dial and a sapphire porthole on the back, the Laureato Tre Ponti d'Oro is water-resistant to 3 atmospheres of pressure. Finally, we would add that a second set is also available, embellished with 32 baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel (equal to 3.2 carats), also in a limited edition of only 50 pieces.
Price181,000 euros (the version with baguette-cut diamonds on the bezel is priced at 241,000 euros).
