Down into the abyss with Mido

Mido enriches its Ocean Star collection with a new version equipped with the practical GMT function that clearly displays the time in two different time zones: the time in the country of origin and local time. On the black dial, in addition to the hour, minute and seconds hands, an additional blue 24-hour hand indicates the time in the second time zone by pointing to the hour circle (24-hour format) on the outer rim of the dial. The daytime hours are positioned on a blue background and the night-time hours on a black background. The white SuperLuminova on the hands and indices allows the wearer to keep track of time, even in the depths of the sea. The date window is located at 3 o'clock. The case, made of extremely resistant steel, features slightly contrasting polished and satin-finished surfaces and is topped by a unidirectional rotating bezel in blue ceramic. The screw-down case back and crown further enhance the Ocean GMT's resistance to external agents. Water-resistant to 20 atmospheres and fitted with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, this sporty model comes with a blue textile strap that echoes the colour of the GMT hand. The Ocean Star GMT is also available in a steel version with an orange bracelet and GMT indications, and in a two-tone steel and rose gold PVD version. The movement is mechanical with automatic winding, calibre 80 (ETA base C07.661), with a power reserve of up to 80 hours. On sale from May at €1,150.
