LVMH Group - The 2013 edition of the Journées Particulières

Following the success of the first edition, which enabled more than 100,000 visitors to discover the "behind the scenes" and treasures of 25 exclusive venues in France and Europe, the Maisons of the LVMH Group are once again welcoming the public for the 2013 edition of the Journées Particulières, which will take place on 15 and 16 June 2013. This year, over 40 exclusive venues will be open, free of charge, in France, in Paris but also in the rest of the country, in Italy, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Poland. Christian Dior's avenue Montaigne salons, Louis Vuitton's family mansion and the d'Asnières workshop, as well as Berluti's bespoke shoe atelier, will be open to the public, as in the last edition. But that's not all: new sites will be open for the first time: Guerlain's production site in Orphin (Rambouillet), Vuitton's workshop in Marsaz in the province of Drôme, the Numanthia vineyard estate in Spain, Acqua di Parma, Bulgari, Fendi and Pucci in Italy, as well as the Zenith, Tag Heuer and Hublot watchmaking houses in Switzerland. The Journées Particulières, a unique event in France and Europe, aims to celebrate the craftsmanship excellence of the Group's Maisons. The success of the first edition demonstrates the public's affection for this heritage - ateliers, wine cellars, hôtels particuliers, family homes, historic boutiques - which represents for France and for all European countries with a great tradition of craftsmanship, a "plus" of the first order, both in terms of economic spin-offs and the jobs created. The Journées Particulières are first and foremost a way of paying tribute to the countless crafts and craftsmanship savoir-faire of the Maisons of the LVMH Group. "We are particularly proud and delighted to reintroduce this unique event. In 2011, thousands of artisans and employees with different jobs were involved to allow the public to discover the variety of heritage and savoir-faire that the Maisons of the Group have been handing down from generation to generation. This success convinced us to do an encore, expanding the event. To all of you who enter our Maisons, I wish you to be as amazed as I am at the craftsmanship of our artisans, but above all, I wish you to enjoy the emotion you feel as you discover the backstage of these places full of mystery and tranquillity. We welcome you once again,' Antoine Arnault, CEO of Berluti and Director of the LVMH group. The website of the initiative www.lesjourneesparticulieres.com will be active from 16 June. On the site, it will be possible to register with one's own profile, receive the Journées Particulières newsletter and, from May, it will also be possible to book one's own visits.
