Hamilton collaborated with Hideo Kojima's creative team to create a futuristic watch that will appear in the video game and is produced in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces.
Hamilton announced an exclusive collaboration with Kojima Productions to create a limited edition watch inspired by the video game 'Death Stranding 2: On the Beach'. This project represents the encounter between the watchmaker Hamilton and the futuristic vision of the famous game designer Hideo Kojima.
The watch, which goes by the name of American Classic Boulton Death Stranding 2 Limited Edition, will be featured within the video game. Of course, the watch (which was designed in collaboration with Art Director Yoji Shinkawasarà) will also be available for sale, in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces. The design draws inspiration from Hamilton's Boulton, reinterpreting it with a techno-apocalyptic aesthetic that reflects the atmosphere of Death Stranding.
L'American Classic Boulton Death Stranding 2 Limited Edition by Hamilton employs a 36 x 48 mm black PVD-coated titanium form case, fitted with seven sapphire crystals with double anti-reflective treatment. The automatic movement used is the Hamilton calibre H-10 (based on ETA, 21,600 vibrations per hour), visible from the back side and with a power reserve of 80 hours. The same caseback also bears the Death Stranding logo.
The black PVD-coated titanium bracelet completes the technical look of the timepiece. The choice of titanium reduces the weight of the 45%'s case, offering greater resistance to corrosion, while the Nivachron spiral used for the movement guarantees resistance to magnetic fields, temperature changes and shocks. The watch is water-resistant up to 50 metres.

This watch designed in collaboration with Hideo Kojima's creative team will be available from June in 2,000 pieces.
Produced in only 2,000 individually numbered pieces on the caseback, the watch will be available from June 2025, to coincide with the release of 'Death Stranding 2: On the Beach'. Each piece will be accompanied by a collector's box inspired by the narrative elements of the game and a cleaning cloth.
Hideo Kojima, known for his cinematic approach to video games, said about this collaboration: "More than half a century ago, in the late 1960s, one of my favourite directors, Stanley Kubrick, commissioned Hamilton to create the watch that appears in the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. I am very honoured to have been able to create the watch that appears in my latest work, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, together with Hamilton. Both 2001: A Space Odyssey and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach are set in the near future, beyond the era in which they were created. Hamilton, which has supplied watches for numerous films, was the perfect partner to design and produce a timepiece conceived for an imminent future, a direct projection of the present. The collaboration also fits into Hamilton's long tradition in the film worldwatches have appeared in over 500 films and TV series. The company also pioneered the inclusion of watches in video games.
