We have been dealing a lot lately with the thorny problem of counterfeiting. Among the many initiatives that many watch manufacturers are taking to try to curb this increasingly rampant phenomenon is that of Hublotwhich has joined forces with 'World Internet Security' to take radical measures involving the electronic identification of wristwatches. Hublot models will all be protected by a SmartCard that will prove their origin and provenance. This solution is presented by Hublot and the company WiseKey, who have created an electronic guarantee certificate that contains an identity code for the watch and allows privileged access to a reserved area on the Hublot website. In this way, both customers and retailers will be able to use the SmartCard to verify the authenticity of watches in real time. The electronic card will be supplied with the watches from next autumn.
