Hublot and Depeche Mode together again

To relaunch its partnership with Depeche Mode and celebrate their new album Spirit and their upcoming Global Spirit Tour, Hublot presented a limited edition of the Big Bang Unico dedicated to the legendary band at Baselworld. The sale of the watch will serve to raise funds for charity: water, a non-profit organisation whose aim is to bring safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Hublot and Depeche Mode have been working together since 2010 and have supported charity: water on three occasions since 2013. The funds raised during this time have resulted in 229 projects in Nepal and Ethiopia, with 220 drinking fountains and 19 hand-drilled and dug wells now bringing clean, safe water to over 30,000 men, women and children. For this new campaign, Hublot and Depeche Mode set themselves the goal of exceeding their previous achievement and bringing clean water to 50,000 people around the world. The new Big Bang features a 45 mm knurled ceramic case, engraved with thousands of pyramids that extend to the pushers, crown and hour markers. The watch is completed by a perfecto-style smooth leather strap to which a removable spiked band can be added for a rock star look on the wrist.250 pieces are being produced, bearing the name of the Global Spirit tour and the symbolic charity can: water on the sapphire crystal of the caseback revealing the HUB1242 movement. It will be available for sale from May 2017, when the band will begin its tour. The first phase of Depeche Mode's tour, which will touch 33 cities in 21 European countries this summer, will begin on 5 May in Stockholm, Sweden. The second phase will bring the band's show to North American fans in the autumn, while details on a Latin American tour will be announced soon.
