Ulysse Nardin's Freak Vision is not only the first automatic watch in the Freak collection, but also the one that incorporates the revolutionary innovations unveiled by the InnoVision 2, starring at Sihh 2017. The innovations include an ultra-lightweight silicon balance wheel with nickel masses and stabilising micro-blades, and a case with an even thinner domed crystal. In addition, the mechanism is equipped with the Grinder automatic winding system, which exploits the smallest movements of the wrist and ensures twice the efficiency of traditional systems. Finally, the new Freak features the Anchor Escapement, a constant-force escapement made entirely of silicon, which exploits the elasticity of the material to transmit a constant force to the balance-spring.
