GPHG 2018 exhibits in Venice

The 72 watches preselected by the jury of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) 2018 were previewed on Friday 28 September at an event that brought together more than 500 guests at the Venice Arsenal. The event, dedicated to art and design, represents a third partnership with BMW Italy and comes after Rome in 2016 and Milan in 2017. Alongside the new BMW Series 8 Coupé, guests were able to admire the year's most beautiful watch creations live. The event also featured a performance by dancer Roberto Bolle and his company. During the evening, guests were able to share gastronomic and oenological experiences thanks to the 3-Michelin-starred Da Vittorio restaurant and a tasting of Bolgheri Sassicaia, one of the world's finest and most prestigious wines. "The GPHG is very pleased with this renewed collaboration with BMW Italy. As a watchmaking showcase, we are particularly pleased to start the 2018 travelling exhibition with Venice, cradle of art and city of beauty, but also and always a place of international trade and exchange," commented Raymond Loretan, GPHG President.
