Exactly one hundred years have passed since the memorable aerial feat that enabled Italy to conquer the skies: on 15 April 1909, in fact, Lieutenant Mario Calderara and Lieutenant Umberto Savoja heroically flew the 'Flyer' under Wilbur Wright, beginning the history of military aviation. For the occasion, Eberhard & Co has created the ChronoFlyer, which once again bears witness to its association with the Italian Air Force. The presentation will be held on 4 October at Cameri Airport, which, with its 100 years of operation, is the Air Force's longest-established air base, as well as being the first Italian flight school dedicated to pilot training. During the celebratory event, in addition to the new ChronoFlyer, the Eberhard chronometer specially produced in 1942 to specifications provided by the Italian pilot Publio Magini for the Rome-Tokio flight and the 1984 'Frecce Tricolori' Chronomaster, the chronograph born from studies and research conducted with the pilots of the Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale, will be on display.
