Louis Vuitton presents the Tambour Horizon, an innovative connected watch dedicated to travellers. Working closely with Google and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., this new model combines the technical prowess of a smartwatch with the elegance of a Tambour, the iconic timepiece with which the Maison's watchmaking history began in 2002. There is a choice of 60 straps (30 for men, 30 for women) that allow the watch to adapt to any occasion. You can also choose the most suitable dial from those that adopt the visual codes of Louis Vuitton's emblematic models (GMT, chronograph, Escale). Moreover, thanks to Android Wear™ 2.0 technology, the watch can be personalised with a multitude of backgrounds featuring the Maison's signature elements. Among the functions with which it is equipped, the first in order of importance is 'My Flight', which keeps travellers informed of flight times, terminal, delays and the number of hours left before departure. The second function 'City Guide' extends the services of Louis Vuitton's published guides and their applications for tablets and smartphones to the smartwatch. The best addresses and locations of seven of the world's most visited cities become accessible via the touch screen. Thanks to intelligent geolocation, the watch shows restaurants, hotels, historical sites and tourist attractions in real time. Tambour Horizon constantly follows the rhythm of the journey thanks to its GMT function provided by the 24-hour dial display: with a simple touch, the name of a world city can be displayed and the corresponding time appears in the selected time zone, recalling the Escale model and its 24 time zones. Finally, it allows notification of phone calls, text messages and emails and is equipped with an alarm clock, countdown timer, weather report and pedometer.
