The Senator Rattrapante by Glashütte Original

Il Senator Rattrapante firmato Glashütte Original

Last year, the German company Glashütte Original first ventured into the creation of a split-seconds chronograph in the Senator collection, in platinum. This year, it offers a variant with a 42-millimetre diameter pink gold case and a silver-toned dial, featuring continuous seconds counters at 10 o'clock and chronograph minutes at 2 o'clock, as well as the unmistakable panoramic date display at 4 o'clock. Roman numeral hourmarkers lend a timeless beauty to this new model from the Maison, a Basel 2008 preview. The sapphire crystal back reveals the calibre 99 hand-wound mechanical movement with all its finishing. The watch is also equipped with a flyback function that enables the chronograph to be restarted without first having to stop and reset the chronograph seconds sphere. The strap is made of Louisiana alligator leather, fastened with a pink gold folding clasp.
