For about a year now, a new product has been available on the market that is aimed in particular at a young audience approaching the world of automatic wristwatch winding instruments for the first time. It is the 1RT SL model from the Soft Line series by Time Box, sold exclusively online to allow potential buyers to get hold of a quality product at a much more affordable price than pieces sold through traditional channels. When compared to the purchase price of the basic version of the Rotor One, the flagship of the Italian company, the saving is considerable: its cost is 190 euros (to which must be added VAT and common shipping costs) against the 517 of the Rotor One. Constant operation is ensured either by a transformer to be connected to the mains or by the use of two batteries (lasting 45 days and not two years as with the company's haut de gamme products) that allow the rotor to be stored in a safe or carried in a suitcase if necessary.
