IWC - Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition 'Tribute to 3705'.

The Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition 'Tribute to 3705' pays tribute to the so-called 'Black Flieger', produced by the Swiss watchmaker between 1994 and 1998. Naturally, the watch launched today features a whole series of updates over the aforementioned Ref. 3705, starting with the 41-mm case (two mm larger than the original), which at the time was made of black zirconium oxide (a high-tech ceramic at the time) and is now replaced by Ceratanium, a titanium alloy patented by IWC. The movement used is the new IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre, a self-winding mechanical movement with 33 jewels, column wheel, 28,800 vibrations per hour and 46 hours of power reserve. The original version was driven by the 7902 calibre, based on the Valjoux 7750. The new Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition "Tribute to 3705", water-resistant to a pressure of 6 atmospheres, is combined with a black moulded leather strap, reminiscent of those used on pilot's watches in the 1940s, and will be produced in a limited series of just 1,000 pieces. Price: 13,100 euros.
