Jaquet Droz has created a unique piece that will be auctioned off at the 2011 Only Watch charity auction. It is a Petite Heure Minute, featuring a dial enamelled using the ancient technique known as Grand Feu and reproducing one of the most famous sights in the Principality of Monaco, where the Only Watch charity auction will be held on 22 September 2011, the proceeds from which will be donated to research against muscular dystrophy. During the event, as many as 40 pieces donated by many of the most prestigious watch manufacturers will be put up for auction. In particular, the Jaquet Droz Petite Heure Minute, whose auction starting price is CHF 37,000, features the aforementioned enamelled dial, the creation of which takes the master craftsman involved in the decoration at least a week. Its case is made of red gold, while the movement used is mechanical with automatic winding and has a 22-carat white gold rotor.
