Jaquet Droz - Grande Seconde Moon

HyperFocal: 0Jaquet Droz's most emblematic model is now enriched with a moon phase display: thus was born the Grande Seconde Moon. Placed in the centre of the lower dial, which also houses the date hand, the moon disc is blued and surrounded by small golden stars. To activate it, a slight pressure must be applied to the corrector positioned at 8 o'clock on the case middle. Despite the introduction of this new complication, which requires adjustment only once every 122 years and 46 days, the watch retains its unmistakable silhouette, with the two dials intertwining to form an eight, the symbol of good fortune. Three versions are available: with an 18-carat red gold case, ivory Grand Feu enamel dial and blued moon disc (pictured, €30,000); with a steel case, silvered opaline dial and blued moon disc (€15,800); with a steel case, dial and moon disc both in black onyx (€18,000). The movement is mechanical with automatic winding, Jaquet Droz calibre 2660QL3.
