Piaget is pleased to announce a new global ambassador, American actress Jessica Chastain. "We are thrilled to introduce Jessica Chastain as our new international ambassador," explains Philippe Léopold-Metzger, CEO of Piaget. "Jessica is the embodiment of Piaget's values - from her bold choices in her acting career to her passion for perfection. She is beautiful, elegant, charismatic and full of joy." Says Jessica Chastain "This partnership with Piaget is an incredible honour. The Maison has an innovative and bold approach with creations that are both modern and respectful of its rich tradition. The attention to detail is unparalleled and the beautiful collections reflect its motto, 'Always do more than is necessary'." Chastain has established herself as one of the best actresses of her generation, winning numerous awards and nominations. In 2012, Time magazine included her in its list of the '100 Most Influential People in the World'. After studying at the Julliard School in New York, the actress made her screen debut in Dan Ireland's film 'Jolene' in 2008. Since then, she has earned critical acclaim for her roles in some big productions such as Terence Malik's 'The Tree of Life', Tate Taylor's 'The Help', which earned her her first Oscar nomination, John Madden's 'The Debt', 'Take Shelter' and Kathryn Bigelow's 'Zero Dark 30', for which she won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama Film and received her second Oscar nomination. Her most recent box office successes have come from appearances in films such as JC Chandor's 'A Most Violent Year' - for which she received a Golden Globe nomination and won the National Board Of Review award for Best Supporting Actress - and Christopher Nolan's acclaimed 'Interstellar'. For these films, as well as for Ned Benson's 'The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby' and Liv Ullman's 'Miss Julie', she had the honour of winning the Broadcast Film Critics' Association's Critic's Choice MVP award (given this year for the first time). We will soon be able to see Jessica Chastain in Guillermo Del Toro's latest film 'Crimson Peak' and in Ridley Scott's 'The Martian', which are scheduled for release in the autumn of this year. Piaget has long supported film and the arts and on Saturday 21 February Piaget will be the Premier sponsor of the Independent Spirit Awards for the eighth consecutive year.
