Once again this year, animating the summer evenings at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia were the events organised by theAntica Orologeria Candido Operti of Cagliari, in collaboration with some of the biggest houses of haute horlogerie and jewellery. On 14 July, it was the turn of the eagerly-awaited Chanel exhibition with its nine themed showcases in the space set up in front of the Cagliari-based company's boutique: catching the eyes of passers-by were the brand new J12 marine in hi-tech ceramic and, for the ladies, the Première model in white gold and diamonds. On 20 July, a packed cocktail party inaugurated the Pomellato exhibition at which the complete 2010 collection was presented, as well as some of the Maison's timeless pieces. The protagonist on 29 July was Jaeger-LeCoultre with its round-case timepieces, such as the new Master Memovox, which recaptures a historic model of alarm clock dating from the 1940s and 1950s. Also very interesting was the limited series version of the Memovox, with a 24 time zone display on the dial. In addition, Antica Orologeria Candido Operti sponsored the two beauty contests at the end of July and mid-August, among the Forte Village guests: the winners received a ring from the Nudo di Pomellato line and a J12 watch by Chanel as prizes from the hands of Candido Operti.
