The culmination of the first collaboration in 2015 with Carlos Cruz-Diez, a well-known figure in the kinetic art scene who recently passed away, the new Hublot Classic Fusion is also a tribute to his work. The watch's dial is arranged in two levels treated with saturated Pantone colours, with the hour hand on the first level and the minute hand on the second. Each of these drives the rotation of a transparent disc with printed black lines. Thanks to this system, the colour combinations change every second over a 24-hour period. The piece also displays the artist's metal signature on the case back. Matching the dial are both the calfskin strap and the watch case. The Classic Fusion Cruz-Diez is available in two case sizes (45 mm and 38 mm) and in three different materials: 100 and 25 pieces in titanium, 30 and 20 pieces in King Gold and 100 and 25 pieces in black ceramic respectively. The movement is mechanical with automatic winding, calibre MHUB1100.H3, with a 42-hour power reserve. The watch was presented on 5 December at the Espace Expression gallery in Miami, in the presence of the artist's family.
