On 21 November next, the Espace Connaisseur, a Swiss salon located inside the Les Ambassadeurs boutique in Lugano, is ready to welcome enthusiasts and collectors on the theme of 'Technique: Modern Materials in Watchmaking'. Technical innovations in watchmaking are the starting point for an in-depth look at the materials used by master watchmakers and which have contributed to achieving revolutionary results. Representatives of the Maison Ulysse Nardin who contributed to the creation of the famous Freak, equipped with escapement wheels in silicon and, in later evolutions, in diamond-coated silicon and polycrystalline diamond, will be present for the occasion.
