Paying homage to Dante's 24th Canto of Paradise is Locman's eponymous collection, the result of a collaboration with collector Sandro Fratini.
It is the result of many years of collaboration between Sandro Fratini, collector and creator of the L'O. brand, and Marco Mantovani, President of Locmanthe XXIV Canto collection. It is also a tribute to a passage from the Divine Comedy, contained precisely in the 24th Canto of Paradise, in which Dante Alighieri compares the dance of the souls of the blessed to the movement of the gears of a mechanical clock.
Powered by a Swiss Made automatic movement, Sellita calibre SW200, (with a 38-hour power reserve and visible through the screw-down case back), Locman's XXIV Canto is offered in four references. That is, with salmon and black dial and rose gold numerals or with black dial and rose gold numerals. Or again, with black dial and steel-coloured numerals, or finally with silver-plated dial and blue numerals.
Locman XXIV Canto: four references
Four dial colours are proposed by Locman for the XXIV Canto, which can be combined with a padded leather strap or a titanium bracelet.
The 40 mm case of the XXIV Canto by Locman is made of polished titanium and features a sapphire crystal anti-glare to protect the dial. On the latter can be seen the guilloché work with clous de Paris motif in the central area. The same zone is surrounded by the stylised motif of a rudder. At 3 o'clock opens the date window.
The hands are leaf-shaped and the indices alternate between Arabic numerals (even numbers) and geometric numerals. The watch can be combined with a padded natural leather strap or a polished titanium bracelet with rice grain links. Water resistance is guaranteed up to the pressure of 10 atmospheres.
