Longines - Partnership with France Galop

Longines_3On 5 April, a long-term partnership was signed in Paris between Longines and France Galop, the organisation responsible for horse racing in France. The event celebrating this agreement is the Longines Prix de Diane, scheduled to take place in Chantilly in June. More generally, with a wealth of experience in timing horseracing disciplines, the Maison will also act as offiacial timekeeper for the forthcoming events at the French racecourses of Chantilly, Deauville and Longchamp. In recognition of this link, Longines presented its new Column-Wheel Chronograph, a chronograph equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre L688.2, which can be admired through the transparent back. The steel case, with a diameter of 39 millimetres, frames a silvered dial offering the following indications: small seconds at 9 o'clock, chrono minutes at 3 o'clock and chrono hours at 6 o'clock, chrono seconds in the centre. Guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 3 atmospheres, this timepiece comes with a dark brown alligator leather strap.
