Longines extends the warranty to five years on all models that feature a balance spring in non-magnetic silicon, including the timepieces in the new Longines Spirit collection. Silicon is a light, corrosion-resistant material that is unaffected by normal variations in temperature, magnetic fields and atmospheric pressure. Its properties improve the precision and longevity of a watch. The performance and accuracy of Longines Spirit timepieces are also independently guaranteed by the Chronometry Certificate issued by the Cosc.
