Louis Erard Chronograph 1931 Titanium

Louis Erard_78240TS05

Louis Erard is bringing a resolutely modern and sporty interpretation of its new 1931 chronograph with a titanium case to Vicenza on the occasion of VICENZAORO (which will be held from 22 to 26 September). Titanium is thus making its entrance into Louis Erard's 1931 collection. A perfect balance between robustness and lightness, this material lends character to the Swiss House's new automatic chronograph. Ever faithful to the brand's original spirit, this model echoes its codes, and more particularly the chronograph minute counter with its wheel at 12 o'clock, an iconic detail of the 1931 line, in a contemporary and sporty interpretation. As for the material used for the case, namely titanium, it should be noted that its industrialisation began in the 1930s. And it was precisely at that time that Louis Erard founded the brand that bears his name. The brand therefore decided to fix this moment in time by introducing titanium into its 1931 range. Declined in two versions, red/anthracite and blue/anthracite, Louis Erard's first titanium model is distinguished by its contemporary and sporty character, with a case no less than 44 milli9metres in diameter. Inside beats the ETA/Valjoux 7750 mechanical movement with automatic winding. Benefiting from a power reserve of approximately 48 hours, this model offers the hours, minutes, seconds, date and chronograph functions. The time is indicated by the central hour and minute hands and the small seconds counter at 9 o'clock. The chronograph functions are indicated in red or blue by the central chrono seconds hand and the counters at 6 and 12 o'clock indicating chrono hours and minutes. Finally, the date window is positioned at 3 o'clock. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides enhances the anthracite dial decorated with guilloché-style motifs and Super-LumiNova touches on the hands and hourmarkers. The transparent back reveals the finely decorated automatic movement with its sunray-finished oscillating weight and Louis Erard logo. The 1931 Titanium Chronograph is fitted with a fine, sporty black nylon strap with leather lining, reinforced inserts and a titanium buckle. Red or blue stitching enhances the ensemble, recalling the colours of the dial.
