Louis Moinet - Geograph Watches

A chronograph with a dual time function, the Geograph features a number of characteristics that define Louis Moinet's brand identity, starting with the "Gouttes de Rosée" (dewdrop) hands, made according to a patent-pending design. The same goes for the dial finish, with its sinuous "côtes du Jura" motif. At 6 o'clock are the chrono hours, at 12 o'clock the chrono minutes, and on the flange is the 24-hour scale with a blue and gold day/night zone. The mechanical self-winding movement is based on an ETA 7750. With a case in pink gold and steel, it is produced in a limited edition of 60. The case back is inspired by the theme of travel, with engraving evoking the exploits of the Montgolfier brothers or the famous explorer and cartographer James Cook. Price: 13,720 euros.

The Geograph is also made in the Rainforest version, in support of the Pulau Banding Foundation, which works to preserve the Malaysian rainforest of Belum-Temengor, the oldest in the world. For every watch sold, in fact, part of the proceeds will go towards this project. The model in question has a unique feature: the chrono counters are in fact made of fossil palm, a 70-million-year-old tree typical of the tropical forests of South-East Asia. Made of pink gold and steel, the Geograph Rainfores is produced in a limited edition of 120 pieces. Price: €17,200.
