Meccaniche Veloci celebrates the WB Seven team

The all-Italian crew of WB Seven, owned by Gianclaudio Bassetti and helmed by Mauro Pelaschier, triumphed in the ORC championship regattas in Šibenik. The team, supported by Meccaniche Veloci as main sponsor, won in the Corinthian Class A category, reserved for non-professionals. "It was an unforgettable experience, a triumph of passion and tenacity. The races were very close and WB Seven came out on top after six very intense and exciting days," commented Cesare Cerrito, CEO of Meccaniche Veloci. "It was an honour to share this adventure alongside prepared and experienced sailors." "Arriving in good shape and getting the best finish in Šibenik was one of our goals, the victory was the result of an extraordinary work of the whole crew and is therefore absolutely deserved. We are loaded for the next appointments and in 2020 we will go to defend the title at the ORC World Championship hosted by the New York Yacht Club to be held in Newport, Rhode Island," added Gianclaudio Bassetti. The next regattas awaiting the crew of the cruiser racer WB Seven will be 21-29 September for the International Sailing Week in Trieste and 13/10 for the 51st edition of the Barcolana, also in Trieste.
