Mido presents a new variant of the Ocean Star 200C, with a unidirectional rotating bezel in red ceramic and a black dial.
Mido is launching a new Ocean Star 200C (Ref. M042.430.16.051.00), which combines a unidirectional rotating bezel knurled on the rim with a red ceramic ring with a matt black dial embellished with the collection's characteristic wave pattern. This colour palette evokes the beauty of a tropical sunset, where the deep black of the ocean merges with the blazing red of the setting sun.
The applied geometric indices are coated with white SuperLuminova, ensuring perfect readability even in low light conditions, and making the watch ideal for night diving. The rose gold-coloured hands are also SuperLuminova luminescent and the brown leather strap (with customised pin buckle and quick-change system) has white stitching.
Water resistance: Mido's legacy since 1930

Since 1930, the year the Aquadura system was invented, Mido has been synonymous with water resistance. Nicknamed the 'King of Waterproof Watches' at the time, the Swiss brand has continued to enrich its diving expertise through the use of innovative materials.
The Ocean Star 200C shown here is water-resistant to a pressure of 20 atmospheres (200 metres), the minimum standard for the Ocean Star collectionguaranteed by a 42.5 mm polished and satin-finished steel case with screw-down case back and crown.
The beating heart of this new Ocean Star 200C is the reliable Calibre 80 (21,600 vibrations per hour, 80-hour power reserve), a mechanical self-winding movement with antimagnetic Nivachron spiral. The oscillating weight is decorated with côtes de Genève and engraved with the Mido logo.
The dial features a day and date window at 3 o'clock, adding everyday practicality without compromising too much on aesthetics. Finally, sapphire glass with anti-reflective treatment on both sides ensures optimal reading of indications from any angle.
