Mido - Multifort Patrimony Chronograph

Throughout its history, Mido has often drawn inspiration from famous architectural structures for the creation of its timepieces. The new Multifort Patrimony Chronograph is no exception, for which the company chose as its source of inspiration (in addition to the 1937 Multifort Multichrono watch) the Harbour Bridge in Sydney, which is also contemporary with the Multifort collection launched in 1934. The côtes de Genève finish on the movement's rotor, in fact, is intended as a reference to the suspension cables of the aforementioned bridge. The movement, mechanical with automatic winding, is the Mido 60 calibre (based on ETA A05.H31, 7.90 mm thick, 27 jewels, 28,800 vib/h, bridges and plate decorated with circular-graining, blued screws, 60-hour power reserve, visible from the back side. The 42 mm case in pink gold PVD steel is fitted with a sapphire crystal "glassbox" protecting the blue brushed dial with two-level sunburst working, on which are placed luminescent hands, Arabic numeral hour markers, two supplementary counters (for chrono minutes at 3 o'clock and for continuous seconds at 9 o'clock), central chrono seconds, peripheral tachymeter scale and date window at 6 o'clock. Also noteworthy is the pleasing presence of the vintage Mido logo at 12 o'clock. The shape of the pump-type chrono pushers, in the classic style of yesteryear, is also attractive. Water-resistant to a pressure of 5 atmospheres, the new Mido Multifort Patrimony Chronograph is fitted with a brown cowhide leather strap with alligator print, combined with a pink gold-coloured steel pin buckle.
