NOMOS Glashütte presents the new Tetra Origins collection, consisting of four models with an in-house hand-wound movement that differ in dial colour.
Already present in the first collection launched in 1992 by NOMOS Glashüttand, the Tetra was also one of the first watches from the independent Saxon manufacture to be equipped with coloured dials.
A tradition that is renewed today with the launch of the new Tetra Origins, offered in four versions according to the colour of the dial. The new Tetra Origins are named Terra, Sage, Ochra and Basalt, whose dials are in shades of terracotta, sage, ochre and anthracite respectively. The inspiration for these new shades comes from the elements of nature.
The Tetra is immediately recognisable by its square 29.5 x 29.5 mm steel case (only 6.5 mm thick), with double stepped lugs. With reference to the aforementioned dials (protected by sapphire crystal), it should be noted that each colour variant has a small seconds counter (at 6 o'clock) with contrasting hand and indices. For example, with shades of lavender and turquoise on terracotta in the Terra model or fuchsia and yellow on anthracite in the Basalt model.
NOMOS Glashütte Tetra Origins: manufacture movement
Like all NOMOS Glashütte watches, the new Tetra Origins employ an in-house-made movement.
The new Tetra Origins are powered by the in-house DUW 4001 calibre (21,600 vibrations per hour, 43-hour power reserve), a hand-wound mechanical movement. The movement (equipped with NOMOS' proprietary Swing System escapement) is visible through the sapphire glass porthole on the back, which is closed with four screws.
The new Tetra Origins from NOMOS Glashütte are combined with a light grey vegan suede strap with a personalised steel pin buckle. Water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 3 atmospheres.
