Norqain dedicates a special Wild One Skeleton to Swiss tennis champion Stan Wawrinka, winner of three Grand Slam tournaments in his career.
Norqain presents the new Wild One Skeleton Stan the Man Limited Edition watch created in collaboration with three-time Grand Slam tournament winner (Australian Open 2014, Roland Garros 2015 and US Open 2016) and partner and brand ambassador Stan Wawrinka. Since joining the Norqain family in 2024, Wawrinka has shown great enthusiasm and active involvement, bringing his competitive spirit and style to the brand.
Known for his great determination, precision under pressure and his iconic one-handed backhand, Stan Wawrinka has inspired a whole generation of tennis players. Norqain's new Wild One Skeleton Stan the Man Limited Edition reflects the essence of his great career and unique character.
Limited to just 85 pieces - in homage to Wawrinka's year of birth, 1985 - the watch is based on the Wild One Skeleton, enriched with many details celebrating both tennis and the Swiss champion's great achievements. The case, for example, has a layer of yellow-green shock-absorber rubber (shade inspired by tennis balls) sandwiched between two components in Norteq, Norqain's proprietary material of ultra-light and ultra-strong carbon fibre. In particular, Norteq is a carbon fibre composite with a high-performance polymer matrix, containing 60% of bio material (castor oil).
Norqain Wild One Skeleton Stan the Man Limited Edition
This new watch dedicated to Swiss tennis champion Stan Wawrinka is produced in only 85 numbered pieces.
The watch is combined with a black and yellow-green rubber strap, featuring a motif inspired by tennis court nets. The sapphire crystal case back is stamped with an image of the Swiss champion and bears the dates of his three Grand Slam tournament victories.
For the first time, the Norqain plate attached to the left side of the case by two screws contains real tennis ball fibres, developed in collaboration with BIWI. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 200 metres (20 atmospheres of pressure) and the glass protecting the dial (with internal and external anti-reflective treatment) is sapphire.
Under the black skeleton dial, also with yellow-green accents, beats the Norqain NB08S calibre (based on the Sellita SW200-1a, 28,800 vibrations per hour), a skeletonised automatic movement chronometer-certified by the COSC, and has a 41-hour power reserve. Also in yellow-green are the SuperLuminova X1 luminescent hands and indices. The seconds hand, on the other hand, is white-tipped but still luminescent.
The new Norqain Wild One Skeleton Stan the Man Limited Edition has a customised spherical case in polished chrome, accompanied by a tennis ball personally signed by Stan Wawrinka, a photo of the champion with the watch on his wrist and a commemorative plaque with the dates of the three historic Slam victories.
