Black steel case, yellow dial, high robustness and manufacture movement: these are the main features of the Chronomat 44 Blacksteel Special Edition from Breitling. The dark colouring is achieved thanks to a highly resistant carbon-based treatment. Of the same shade is the exterior of the rubber strap (the interior is yellow). The water-resistance rating is 20 atmospheres, and the safety pushers and crown, both screw-down, are protected against shocks by important lateral reinforcements. The unidirectional rotating bezel, with inlaid black rubber numerals, has four polished knights that allow the times to be memorised. The watch is equipped with the Breitling calibre B01, a self-winding mechanical movement chronometer-certified by the Cosc and with a black oscillating weight visible through the sapphire crystal opening in the caseback.
