New Italian Director for Panerai

As of 1 October 2018, Carlo Maria Ceppi has taken up the position of Italian Director of Panerai. With a long and important experience within the watchmaking division of the Richemont Group and a deep knowledge of the Panerai maison, Ceppi will lead the brand's development strategies on the Italian market. After leaving IWC in 2013, he joined Panerai in charge of the direction of the European markets and their evolution towards direct retail. Now taking the opportunity to return to Italy, he has taken over its commercial management and responsibility for the Historical Archive, with the aim of preserving its technical and historiographical heritage. "Italy represents an important reference market for Panerai on an international level," says Carlo M. Ceppi, as "Florence and its historic boutique in Piazza Duomo represent the origins of the brand. Hence the need to appropriately manage both the brand's local strategies and the recovery of the past and the authentic story that have made Panerai a recognisable brand all over the world".
