New Richard Mille in white ceramic

The latest addition to the Richard Mille ladies' collection, the RM 037 combines white ceramic, mother-of-pearl and white gold for the first time. The first, white ATZ ceramic used for the bezel and back, is composed of aluminium oxide powder which, when injected at a pressure of 2,000 bar, increases its hardness from 20 to 30%, minimising its porosity. It is a hypoallergenic material, among the hardest after diamond, renowned for its resistance to scratches, shocks and abrasions, as well as for its long-lasting whiteness. The second, mother-of-pearl, is used for the central area of the dial, also embellished by the presence of diamonds, while white gold has been adopted for the central part of the case. The mechanism is entrusted to the self-winding skeleton CRMA1 calibre, with a grade 5 titanium plate and black PVD-coated bridges, which offers on the dial side the oversized date display at 12 o'clock, which can be updated with a polished white gold push-button positioned on the case between 10 and 11 o'clock, and the function indicator, at 4 o'clock, selectable via a pusher, also in polished white gold, positioned on the case at 4 o'clock, which allows the user to select the watch's winding (W), time setting (H) or neutral position (N) functions with a simple push. Every detail of this calibre, with its red gold variable-geometry rotor, is visible in full through the sapphire crystal opening in the case back.
