This is the first Panerai boutique in the UK, and the second largest in Europe after the one in Florence. Designed by renowned architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, the new space will allow customers to discover the world of Panerai on two floors (150 square metres) and benefit from the permanent presence of the watchmaker in the boutique. "I am pleased to announce the opening of our first boutique in London. We have waited a long time this moment and we want to demonstrate in this way our confidence in the future of a market which is really important to us"said Angelo Bonati, CEO of Officine Panerai. To celebrate the opening, Panerai partnered with Sotheby's by auctioning off an exclusive bronze watch, the Luminor Submersible 1950 3 Days Automatic Bronzo - 47mm, which fetched an exceptional £75,000. All proceeds will be donated to "OnBoard", a charity programme of the Royal Yachting Association.
